Now that Barack Obama claimed the victory and is very first colored American who will be holding the most influential position in the whole world, it is also about time for a black James Bond. Apparently, Rap icon who turned designer and now an aspiring actor Sean “Diddy” Combs is very much interested in the role and to prove it, he has spent a total of $750,000 out of his own pocket just to create his very oen audition tape for the upcoming James Bond movie.
During an interview with the London Daily Mirror, Combs said, “This is my audition tape for the next James Bond. There is a black President and it’s time for there to be a black Bond.”
It was Daniel Craig who first took a shot at the idea during the Quantum of Solace press conference. “I think the role could easily be played by a black actor, because the character created by Ian Fleming in the ’50s has undergone a great deal of evolution and continues to be updated. After Barack Obama’s victory I think we might have reached the moment for a colored 007.”
