If you think teabags are exempted to the list of the most expensive things in the world, then think again… Boodles Jewellers have already created the world’s most expensive teabag ever.  The teabag costs a mere $7,500 each and was done in celebration for the 75th birthday of PG Tips. 

All the teabags have been specially handcrafted and  took at least 3 months for everything to be completed.  Each teabag consists of 280 diamonds and can be used to make your own jewelry after sipping the tea.

The spokesman for PG tips, Mr. Pete Harbour spoke during the 75th birthday celebration: “As it’s our 75th birthday, we wanted to do something special to remind people just how much they love the great British cup of tea.” 

They said that the teabag will be sold and part of the prize money during a draw to raise money for a charity specially selected by the PG Tips factory in Trafford Park, Manchester which is the Manchester Children’s Hospital.
