Eric Clapton has requested to have his personal and favorite guitar its own and really one of a kind leather guitar case. The custom made case was made from real crocodile leather by Hermes. Hermes has been known to create customized materials made from leather for almost anything you wish from handbags to even car interiors. Just name it and they can make it happen, but for a price!
Although Eric Clapton never really revealed how much money was spent for the said crocodile guitar leather case, if it’s from Hermes, this could be at least $100,000. Makers in Hermes used the world’s finest matte-finish crocodile skin. The lining is made from a blue silk velvet and the wood is from a poplar tree in Nazareth, Pennsylvania.
The Hermes guitar leather case is now housing Eric’s Martin 00028 EC acoustic guitar.
