If you remember the iconic singer, Jacques Brel, you might be interested in joining the auction for his private collection of notebooks.  The memorabilia of the famous singer which includes, notebooks, autograph and other written manuscripts will be auctioned on October 8, 2008.

Although Jacques Brel was not a typical name in the US song charts, he was indeed very famous in Europe. The auction will take place in Paris, a very memorable place for the singer as this is where he really made a big break.

On top of the notebook where his Armsterdam lyrics were drafted, his 94 lots are also up for sale.  Such notebook might be auctioned to as much as 70,000 Euros.
