Aluminum Monocoque Body

The monocoque body is incredibly well toned, derived from ultra-strong aluminum. The result is reduced weight and improved rigidity: the new Jaguar XK drops 200 lbs. and increases body stiffness by 31 percent.

Available Wheel Styles

The Jaguar XK Coupe and Convertible come standard with 18″ Venus alloy wheels. 19″ Carelia wheels are available as a stand-alone option or with the Luxury Package, and 20″ Senta wheels are available as a stand-alone option or with with the Aluminum Luxury Package.

Intelligent Lighting System

In addition to automatically operated, self-leveling bi-Xenon headlamps, the Jaguar XK features corner lamps, housed within the main headlamp unit, that maneuver to give improved illumination.

Adaptive Front Lighting

Adaptive Front Lighting (AFL), available as part of the Advanced Technology Package, provides enhanced visibility when cornering at higher speeds. Sensors react to the vehicle´s speed and angle of approach, swiveling the dipped beam lens to increase illumination around the bend.

Reverse Parking Aid

Jaguar XK coupe ultrasonic sensors mounted in the rear bumper detect objects in the vehicle´s path up to 6 feet away. An audible warning system alerts drivers to the proximity of objects when slowly backing up, while the console touchscreen provides specific information on their location in relation to the vehicle.

Jaguar XK coupe is operated by controls mounted directly on the steering wheel, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)—available as part of the Advanced Technology Package—uses radar technology to monitor for slower moving traffic ahead, applying the brakes when required to help maintain a set distance from the traffic ahead.

Performance Architecture

Using techniques developed by the aerospace industry, the Jaguar XK coupe´s body is crafted of aluminum, resulting in architecture that is 40% lighter and 60% stiffer than conventional steel, dramatically improving both weight efficiency and road performance.

Adaptive Restraint Technology System (ARTS)
The XK is fitted with Jaguar´s highly sophisticated Adaptive Restraint Technology System (ARTS) for driver and front passenger protection. By detecting the position of the driver in relation to the steering wheel, and the presence, seat position and weight of the front passenger, and safety belt use for both, ARTS can determine which safety systems to activate and, when applicable, the airbag energy levels most appropriate.
