New Jersey has topped the most expensive auto insurance in the United States way back in 2005.  It is only at $1,184 insurance expenditure at that time and people are way happy about that.

But claiming the most expensive car insurance in the world is from former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair’s old neighborhood.  Islington, a north London neighborhood, has a car theft rate of two and a half times England’s national average because it is considered as a few of wealthy areas in the country.

This accounts for a phenomenal average premium of £745/month. In the US, that would be nearly $1,500!
